Our client is a highly successful division of this Australian speciality manufacturer. With a growing national retail distribution footprint, this high profile operating division is renowned as a market leader in fulfilling its national customers supply chain needs, our client serves broad industries across Construction, Agriculture, Mining and Logistics.
Following recent transformation, an opportunity exists for a hands on commercially savvy Commercial Finance Manager to partner the business.
Reporting to the General Manager with a dotted line to the CFO, you will be a hands on Commercial Financial Manager who can deliver financial control, insights and analysis and business partnering to the operation.
With a broad remit spanning analysis, cash flow management, budgeting and forecasting, and due diligence on future acquisitions, you will relied upon by the business to support strong financial, operational and strategic decision making.
Other areas of responsibility will involve:
* Develop and implement an efficient financial statement close process and investment reporting package
* Conduct a margin analysis and identify cost savings and productivity improvements
* Inventory management
* Maintain a robust internal control environment
* Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes
* Set up KPI's for the business and success metrics across the operation & stores
* Support and develop pricing strategies and identify store profitability by product / region
* Support mergers and acquisition activity
* Assist with the implementation of a new ERP and broader business intelligence systems
You will have excellent communication skills with all levels of finance, commercial and operations staff, and be effective partnering with various departments to help them plan and manage their budgets and value add to the business.
CA/CPA qualified, you will have demonstrable experience as a Commercial Finance Manager / Senior Financial Analyst roles in which you have provided end to end financial support across Board reporting, insights and analysis for management decision making, budgeting/forecasting, financial modelling and business partnering.
You will be technically strong, adept at Excel and have an affinity with building collaborative working relationships across both finance and operating divisions. You will also be proactive in supporting key business improvement projects, including new business systems such as ERP integrations,
You will have experience with providing value add analysis to the operating businesses and inventory management. Your open communication style will allow you to build sustainable relationships across the enterprise. Taking your own initiative and being proactive will allow you to be successful within the role.
Experience within the FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing and/or Logistics industries would be viewed favourably.
