Our client is a long-established player in the construction industry here in Australia. With multiple locations across the country, this role is based in one of the offices in the western suburbs.
This office location focuses purely on one side of the groups business lines. The company has undergone some positive, progressive changes recently and are now looking to recruit another member to their finance team.
Our client is looking to add a strong, experienced accountant to their finance team. This role, which reports directly to the finance and commercial manager, will be a key cog in supporting and driving the overall business performance. Strong knowledge of what key reports are made up of, not alone understanding what they are telling you, will be a key part of this position. In this role, you will be also responsible for the following key duties:
- Cashflow forecasting
- Balance sheet forecasting
- Consolidation of financial and management reports
- P&L consolidation and analysis
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Ad-hoc financial modelling
- Commentary on reports and recommendations for senior management
To be successful in this role, you will be an ambitious individual who can add value to the organisation. You will be a very strong and clear communicator, confident in dealing with senior stakeholders, both over the phone and in person. On occasion, when the finance and commercial manager is away, this person will deputise in their absence.
You will also have the following key skills and qualifications:
- Degree in business or finance
- CPA/CA qualified (essential)
- 5 years minimum in a similar role
- Energetic personality - someone who is eager to learn and add value
- Confident in interacting with senior business stakeholders
