Robert Half Executive Search has been exclusively retained to identify a Head of Credit Risk for an exciting, disruptive, internationally backed and well-funded FinTech business that is the market leader in its sector.
With a scalable business model, this successful FinTech firm is already the market leader and is very well regarded in its industry. This is an exciting time to join this entrepreneurial and vibrant business that has enjoyed strong YoY hyper-growth since its inception. With current operations spanning several geographies, this company has moved from the classic 'start-up' phase and is now focussing on the commercialization of the business locally. As such, the firm is now well positioned to hire an experienced Head of Credit Risk to join the Executive Team at this exciting juncture in their evolution.
The Head of Credit Risk will be instrumental to the future success of this business joining a culture of high-performance, balancing high-quality outputs at pace with building and inspiring the credit risk modelling/policy team to drive profitability.
Reporting to the CEO and in partnership with all other functions, the successful candidate will have a deep understanding of how external factors and developments impact the credit risk strategy and framework of the business.
With P&L responsibility, the Head of Credit Risk will develop and manage the risk strategy and performance of all product offerings while also driving data-oriented approaches for the collection and utilisation of customer data to optimise profitability. Using portfolio management to influence pricing in a dynamic environment, you will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
With a mandate to develop, maintain and enhance the credit risk policy and materials to support decisions, you will be a confident and strategic influencer of both internal and external stakeholder groups. Your expertise in the proactive management of the credit risk profile of both existing products as well as new product offerings will ensure the business is adaptive to key insights derived from deep-dive and complex data analytics.
The successful candidate will possess a natural curiosity of thought and will be a proven leader with between 5 and 10 years' experience gained in a Risk function within a Financial Services business. Prior experience in a data-driven disruptive/high growth FinTech firm would be of significant interest.
With demonstrable experience in credit risk, the successful candidate will also have exposure to portfolio management and analytics and have the ability to use data to accurately predict risk exposure and react quickly and decisively to mitigate potential losses.
A strategic yet hands-on approach, as well as an attention to excellence in execution at pace, will ensure this individual thrives and excels in this fast-moving business.
