Our client has an excellent opportunity with a newly created position for a qualified, driven and entrepreneurial Tax Manager to join their large finance team that spans ANZ and parts of Asia.

The role will start by redefining the Tax framework from a small base and in turn grow with it, as the business changes locally and internationally.

This role is currently a stand-alone position, but will quickly take on an Assistant Tax Accountant and has scope to have further local and international reports in the future. The role reports directly into the CFO locally and will have overseas responsibilities and supervision based in their regional Head Office.

  • CA Qualification required
  • Big 4 or Business Services experience required

Key Responsibilities extend across Compliance and Advisory and have a focus on strategical tax matters:

  • Redefining and maintaining domestic and NZ/Asian tax framework
  • Preparation of financial information related to Tax
  • Preparation of Income Tax Return
  • Liaising with ATO
  • Tax effective accounting
  • Preparation of monthly Tax - BAS, GST
  • Payroll Tax
  • Transfer Pricing
  • Managing the relationship with Big 4 external Tax advisors
  • Providing Tax guidance, training and advice to the business on an ad hoc basis

A keen interest in Tax as well as a strong general background in understanding Finance and Accounting will be important to securing this position and progressing in years to come.

The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial CA qualified Tax Manager with a Big 4 or Business Services background. Commercial experience as well as Big 4/Business Services experience is preferred.
