This company is a data security software firm that develops solutions which enable organizations to better manage cyber security risk, detect advanced threats, and fulfil compliance requirements.

They operate throughout Europe, North America and the Asia Pacific region, and their solution is utilized by some of the world's largest organization in the Banking, Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Resources and Retail sectors.


As the Pre Sales Engineer, you'll be responsible for the communication & demonstration of the company's products & technologies to customers. The role works closely with Sales & Account Managers to support them with technical expertise/guidance to assist in winning business.

This is a predominately remote role so can be based anywhere in Australia. Travel to customers / partners will be required approximately once-twice a month.

Key elements of the role include:

  • Work with Sales & Account Managers to understand & qualify the customers requirements, then engage in technical discussions on the best solution tailored to their needs.

  • Conduct demonstrations and product walkthroughs to prospective customers.

  • Provide SME advice and consultation to customers in relation to the company's products and solutions.

  • Develop and support procurement activities e.g. RFI, RFP etc…

  • Build and maintain relationships with technical decision makers and identify and convert revenue opportunities as they arise.

  • Travel to customer sites for pre-sales & post-sales activities as required.

  • Work closely with colleagues around the globe to deliver successful outcomes to customers.


Suitable for a proven Pre Sales Engineer with very strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, security vulnerabilities, and related domains. Well-developed advisory and consultation skills with customers is a must.

As this role works remotely, it's well suited to a motivated self-starter who enjoys autonomy and driving their own priorities.

The following is required:

  • Strong technical knowledge & expertise across Microsoft technologies - Windows OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint etc…

  • Demonstrate well-developed security knowledge - e.g. vulnerabilities, compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR, ISO27k, NIST, PCI-DSS etc), Identity & Access Management etc…

  • Proven Pre-sales experience and customer-facing skills.

  • Experience delivering projects centered around Active Directory and Identity & Access Management (IAM) is highly beneficial.

  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage your own priorities.

  • Comfortable with travel to customer sites.

  • Display an appetite to learn more in the security space - e.g. threat detection.

  • Genuine interest and ability to working remotely with minimal supervision.

This is a full-time permanent role and is offering circa $130,000 - $150,000 (plus super) + bonus ($200k OTE) - depending on experience.
