THE COMPANY

An industry leading law firm is now looking for a talented Payroll professional to join their dynamic, supportive HR team. Working for this company, you will manage the payroll process to staff and ensure payments are made in line with relevant legislation, Awards and Fair Work Australia. In addition to this, you will be involved with projects that assist HR with workforce planning.

This company has fantastic Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives in place which create a sense of community within the local office and globally. You will be part of a friendly, supportive and social team and will enjoy pitching in to other areas outside of payroll to help push the team forward to success. You will be working within the HR team so having an interest in HR processes and policies will help you settle into this role and start making positive improvements to the company.

THE ROLE

The role sits within the Human Resource team and focuses payroll and reporting, including:

  • Reporting
  • Calculation of deductions & back pay
  • Liaise with the finance team regarding reconciliations, journal entries and payments
  • Process employee changes
  • Work with outsourced payroll teams
  • LSL analysis
  • Leave audits
  • Project reporting
  • Presenting data and report findings to non-finance stakeholders in an easy to understand context

Your Profile

This role is ideal for an experienced payroll professional with strong numerical aptitude and excellent time management who is looking to further develop their career. This role requires someone to look at the bigger picture, understand the "knock-on" effects of payroll and develop strategies to reduce risk. In addition to the above, you will have:

  • Exposure to monthly reporting
  • Intermediate excel skills
