Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure the accuracy of Village monthly accounts.
  • Monthly variance analysis.
  • Monthly forecast.
  • Quarterly forecast in conjunction with Village Manager.
  • Review, report and communicate monthly and quarterly to key stakeholders.
  • Lead month end and forecast process.
  • Weekly pay run authorisation.
  • Coordinate the annual audit timetable and ensure that all annual accounts are finalised within the time set down by the respective State's legislation.
  • Ensure the Group creditors are kept to a minimum.
  • Ensure GST returns are lodged and that all GST amounts are accounted.
  • Prepare annual tax returns for all body corporates.
  • Review, report and communicate monthly and quarterly to key stakeholders.
  • Annual Budget Preparation.
  • Lead Budget Process in conjunction with Village Manager and Operations Manager.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline is preferred
  • CA/CPA status or studying towards is preferred
  • Property Management and Body Corporate Management
  • More than 5 years in finance roles, with a proven record of promotion for performance
  • Experience in managing small teams
  • Exposure to GST legislation
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Strong leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and lead a team
  • High level integrity and professionalism
  • Strong results orientation
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
  • High level of numeracy
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Independence - able to work with minimum supervision
  • Team work - both internally and cross divisional
  • Attention to detail with high personal standards
