Our client is an international business with moderate operations based in Sydney. The company is a serviced based company aligned to the Engineering industry. They are a contemporary company that changes fast and they are seeking a Financial Controller with similar dynamism and passion.
The role which is based in Sydney CBD will manage a finance team of two and be largely autonomous. The role spans Financial Accounting and Reporting, Management Accounting, Analysis, Tax, Audit, Payroll, AP and AR.
The position will have full oversight and management of the finances of the Australian business including month end, overseas & local reporting, and tax. Management of systems including updates/implementations & projects and working with the internal & external auditors.
The role reports into the global CFO outside of Australia and has a large commercial element to it where you will be partnering with the Marketing Director, Sales Director and Commercial Managers in growing their brands, market share and ultimately bottom line.

This role requires an up and coming Financial Controller who is currently a Finance Manager/Senior Financial Accountant in Services based business, or similarly fast paced SME business.
- You must be CA/CPA Qualified
- You must be able to show autonomy in your experience to date
- You must be able to form relationships quickly in an SME environment
This role will suit an ambitious candidate that wants to be a CFO in 3-5 years, someone who is driven to progress their career - potentially overseas, or a high performing Finance Manager that wants to constantly add value with higher levels of responsibility.
