Description

THE COMPANY:

This company is a highly successful Financial Services firm offer specialized Investment Banking and Asset Management services throughout Europe, North America, Africa and the Asia Pacific.

THE ROLE:

This is a newly created Desktop Support position responsible for providing level 1 & 2 IT Support for approx. 120 internal users at all levels in the business.

You'll be providing lots of face-to-face support so professional presentation, clear and confident communication skills, and excellent customer service skills are a must.

This role works alongside a global IT team with working hours being 10am to 6pm hours with occasional overtime needed. Weekend on-call remote support work required once every 3 weeks (minimal calls).

Key technologies you'll be supporting include:

  • Windows 7 / 10
  • Active Directory administration
  • Exchange 2013 / Office 365
  • Microsoft Office 2010-2013
  • Microsoft App-V
  • IP phones (e.g. Cisco, Avaya etc.)
  • Videoconferencing & AV equipment
  • Network printers and peripherals
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM) - including laptops, iPhone, iPad & Android
  • SCCM
  • Citrix XenApp

Upcoming projects include:

  • Windows 7 to 10 migration
  • New hardware rollout

ARE YOU SUITABLE FOR THIS ROLE?

Suitable for a customer serviced focused IT Support professional with professional presentation and clear + confident communication skills who enjoys working in a mid-sized yet complex environment.

Suitability will heavily be determined around an individual's drive, intelligence, passion and personality. Proven experience in a broad and varied role is a must.

The following skills / knowledge / experience / traits are required:

  • Proven experience providing face-to-face Desktop Support to end users.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows 7/10; Active Directory; Exchange/Office365; MS Office
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting Mobility, Network Printers, IP Phones & AV
  • Financial Services or Professional Services industry experience is beneficial
  • ITIL knowledge
  • Demonstrate good problem solving and IT troubleshooting skills
  • Comfortable working with global IT teams in different time zones.
  • Comfortable working 6-10pm (Mon-Fri) and participate in a remote weekend on-call roster every 3 weeks

This is a full time permanent role based in the Sydney CBD and offering $50,000 to $70,000 (including super) - depending on experience.
