Our client is a high growth, global FinTech software organisation with the market leading product. Following a recent merger and private equity investment, the business is set to embark on rapid growth over the next three years.
As a leader within the Sydney business, the Head of Development will be responsible for continuing the culture of collaboration within the high performing, highly engaged DevOps teams.
In this fast-paced environment, the Head of Development will need to work with multiple stakeholders and be required to work closely with the product development, sales and marketing teams to ensure continued collaboration.
In addition, with large scale organisations as customers, the Head of Development needs to be a customer focused individual who will engage with customers to learn what they are looking for and understand the level of service and quality expected.
Our client is looking for a Head of Development who has worked in and led software development teams and built collaborative relationships, who is objective, communicative, product driven, inspirational and can motivate and engage people.
A genuine leader by influence, the Head of Development will foster consistent best practice in development and software engineering across the business.
To facilitate the scalability demanded with the rapid growth, the Head of Development will promote and implement systems infrastructure best practices, building tools that allow the department to develop and deploy impeccable sites/software.
The successful candidate will be a proven leader with an accumulated 5 to 10 years' development experience within an AGILE, DevOps SaaS environment.
With proven experience in a product-based B2B SaaS FinTech, the ideal candidate will currently be a Head of Development or similar or 2IC ready to step up to the top role.
A hands-on approach, attention to operational execution and a high level of collaboration are prerequisites as is the ability to lead by influence rather than command and control.
The ability to solve complex problems and analyse data in a high paced working environment will be essential to success in this role.
It is critical for the Head of Development to be familiar with a B2B environment and in particular, working with large global organisations as customers and understand the demands and complexities that this brings.
