The Role
The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for leading the requirements related aspects of software development process across the ASI program, including:
  • Coordination of requirements elicitation, prioritisation, documentation and support
  • Leadership of requirements processes and practices
  • Coordination of mentoring of Systems Analysts
The incumbent will work with Systems Analysts, Product Managers and Software Engineers to develop software in accordance with user needs, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Own and be responsible for the program release backlog and collaborate with Product Management to prioritise this backlog
  • Own and be responsible for the requirements documents, process and quality in accordance with the LBS Quality Management System
  • Accumulate extensive domain knowledge and provide domain expertise to the program throughout the product development life cycle
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Develop and maintain training artefacts and program resources for the Systems Analysts within the programme
  • Coordinate the mentoring of the Systems Analysts within the programme
  • Support the programme Systems Analysts in eliciting and elaborating requirements through stakeholder consultation, workshops and analysis of program artefacts
  • Support the programme Systems Analysts in documenting requirements
  • Review and approve programme requirements artefacts
Essential:
  • Graduate or post-graduate qualifications in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
  • A minimum of 6+ years' experience eliciting and analysing software system requirements in complex business domains
  • Leadership experience in a product development environment
  • Experience working as an analyst in an Agile development environment
  • Experience documenting requirements as Agile user stories / acceptance criteria
  • Experience documenting requirements as written use cases and functional requirements specifications
  • Experience synthesising and summarising complex information
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills with a pragmatic approach
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Highly Desirable:
  • Experience with Agile work item management tools such as JIRA
  • Experience with requirements management tools such as HP Quality Center
  • Experience working on software development projects in a commercial environment
  • Experience in international projects
  • Experience working on medical applications or other highly regulated application domains
  • CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) qualification or equivalent
