The Company

A service organization engaged in the distribution of automotive replacement parts, industrial replacement parts, office products and electrical/electronic materials.

The Role

This is a newly created opportunity for an experienced candidate to join the team and really make the role their own. The purpose of the role is to ensure efficient fleet management of approximately 1,400 vehicles across the organisations Asia Pacific network of stores, warehouses and offices which encompass 500+ locations across Australia and New Zealand. This role will involve working closely with operations and Shared Service teams in all Asia Pacific business units.

Responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Tracking and updating custodian changes using fleet software
  • Managing temporary vehicle hire
  • Tracking and update of toll account changes
  • Managing motor insurance administration, reporting and queries
  • Supporting proposed implementation and ongoing maintenance of telematics solution
  • Partnering with APAC business units in relation to acquisitions and disposals strategy
  • Co-ordinate with fleet management provider in relation to replacement and disposal of vehicles
  • Maintenance of Motor and Toll policies and procedures ensuring relevant and timely update as requirements dictate
  • Collecting vehicle log books annually and maintaining a log book register
  • Co-ordination and collation of annual FBT declarations and data for the Fringe Benefits tax return
  • Develop management reporting of fleet performance
  • Undertake random audit checks of personal use of company vehicles and compliance with policy
  • Identify improvements in fleet processes and effectively communicate solutions to management

  • Ability to understand FBT motor related legislation and communicate this effectively to the wider business network
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office and web/email with an ability to learn new systems quickly
