They have spent the last 20 years developing some of the most exclusive properties in Melbourne and have recently ventured into the other Eastern states of Australia. Over the past 5 years the size of the developments has grown, their business has increased in size and as a result their processes have become more rigorous. Now the management of their projects requires a close eye.
Reporting to the Financial Controller and working very closely with the Managing Director you will form part of a team of high performing, qualified accountants. Your key responsibility is to manage the budget/feasibility of 5 key projects. More specifically your responsibilities will include:
- Cashflow management for each of the projects
- Monthly accounting and statutory reporting for each project
- Monthly management accounts and commentary
- Liaise with executive leadership team
- Own the project budget
- Work in total partnership with the project team to deliver the project on time and under budget
This is a key role that will be a respected part of the team responsible for completing the project. Essentially a mini CFO style of role. This requires ownership and tenacity, partnership and communication. Success in this role will lead to a future Group FC role in the medium term.
You will have worked in the construction or property development industry for several years. Your knowledge of how tweaks to sales values, construction deadlines or funding structures affect profitability and other areas of the project will be key. You will be able to demonstrate accountability and ownership and have the desire to grow your career within an exciting business at the cutting edge of their industry.
