This iconic and long established organization is expanding its footprint in Perth through strategic acquisitions and extensive organic growth. They are centrally located and offer a dynamic work life balance within an energetic and highly motivated team consisting of a property accountant, two Assistant Accountants, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Corporate Accountant, Group Accountant and a Finance Manager.
They are now seeking to appoint a talented Senior Property Accountant to complement their existing team.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Property Accountant is responsible for mentoring junior members of the team, providing strategic financial advice to senior management and ensuring the finance function is adhering to the organisations strict corporate governance policies.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:-
- Mentor the Property Accountant, Accounts Payable officer and Assistant Accountants
- Monitor any discrepancy's in the financials and give counsel on the necessary actions to take
- Execute complex consolidations of multiple entity's
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements
- Identify financial risks and the relevant strategy's to alleviate such eventuality's
- Review the Fixed asset register, budgeting, forecasting and reporting
As the successful Senior Property Accountant you will be a Chartered Accountant with ideally a number of year's commercial experience in the property industry; working to Australian accounting principles.
You will possess impeccable communication skills with the ability to easily communicate with stakeholders, be meticulously organised and a strong team player. You must also have an acumen for detailed analysis and relish the dynamic nature of a position like this in property sector.
