The Company



Based in Sydney Olympic Park our client is a global fleet management business leading in their field. Privately owned and with a turnover/revenue of $150 million dollars the business is seeking a hands-on Finance manager to join their team as it undertakes a huge wave of growth. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders to make strategic decisions that will drive the business further forward.



The Role



As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for leading the finance function. You can implement continuous improvements within the internal controls of the firm and provide strong suggestions to senior management that will allow for effective strategic decisions to be made.



Reporting to the CFO the role will require you to manage the finance function and will focus on;




  • Managing a team of 5 (2 Financial Accountants, Accounts Payable Manager, Credit Manager & Payroll Manager).

  • Preparation of financial statements at period end (such as month, quarter, half-year, annual). Financial statements include profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow.

  • Cashflow forecasting on a weekly basis.

  • Development and delivery of management packs/reports.

  • Training and mentoring of junior staff members.

  • GST, FBT, BAS and Income tax.

  • Developing strategic decisions to improve the financial performance of the business.

  • Manipulating and utilsing data to support business growth.

  • Adhoc projects.



Your Skills & Experience




  • Professional certification in accounting - CA or CPA.

  • Experience within manufacturing, logistics and or procurement is desirable.

  • Strong Cashflow forecasting skills - budgets, variance analysis, profitability commentary etc.

  • Proven results in terms of process improvements.

  • Staff management experience is desirable.

  • Exposure to a large ERP SAP, Oracle etc.
