Our client is a rapidly expanding business in the North Western suburbs that is looking to bring the full finance function in-house to prepare the company for further growth.
They are looking for an individual who possesses the professional and interpersonal skills to manage finance and become a crucial member of the business.
Moving to brand new offices, this business can be best described as a very friendly and small working environment where trust and openness are key. They offer a flexible working environment and flexible working hours.
This role represents an excellent chance to manage the end to end financials within the organisation. Having a $10M turnover, they anticipate further growth and have the potential to expand their activities overseas. This role may require some (limited) interstate travel at the start.
The role will focus on following tasks, and has the potential to go far beyond that over time:
- Establishing Finance Procedures and Processes
- Strong focus on Compliance
- Deep understanding of cashflow management
- Strong management of the client and supplier relationships
- Establishing payroll in-house and managing the payroll (~30 people weekly)
- All Tax related matters
- AP and AR Management
- Monthly reporting
- Reconciling Bank Statements
- Site Management
The role offers the opportunity to be operationally involved and to become the trusted business partner of the MD and the owner. Eventually you will become a part of the leadership team and be involved in the strategic decision making creating further growth. You will report into the Managing Director.
This role will commence on a contract since an urgent start is required, but will become permanent after a few months, once all processes are in place and all parties are happy to proceed.
You will be an intelligent CA or CPA qualified Finance professional with proven experience in small or medium sized business. You are hands on and you know what is required to manage an end to end finance function. You can build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You see your job as more than just a daily task and are looking for an environment that is open, supportive and ethical. A self-starting attitude and a natural drive to grow and develop yourself with the business are key.
The ideal candidate has experience with MYOB and can start within two weeks.
