Our client is fast-growing company looking for your exceptional skills as an Assistant Accountant. This brilliant role is very involved, and will bring new challenges and rewards each day as you assist with the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Full responsibility for Debtors management and cash receipting.
Providing fortnightly debtors reports to regional offices.
Accurate and timely receipting of all cash receipts on daily basis
Weekly chasing of overdue debtors for all regions
Process month end sales accrual journals
WIP control - work with regions to ensure WIP levels remain within acceptable levels.
Weekly sales reporting for Essential and Ausgrid contracts
Full responsibility for credit card system (Promaster)
Process month end journals
Chase users for timely verification of transactions
Maintenance of system
Setup of new users and maintenance of current users
Process requests for limit increases, card renewals/cancellations
Setup and maintenance of loose tool stock control in all regions
Ensure accurate recording of stock transfers, additions and deposals
Monthly management account preparation
Assist in special projects as required
AP Automation and workflow tool
Internal transfer simplification
Bank reconciliation, posting and balancing
Assist Year budget preparation
Year end audit preparation
Set up new suppliers/customers on accounting software
GST return preparation
Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of accounting systems;
Assisting with the preparation of management and financial reports
Your Skills & Experience
Thorough understanding of cash receipting, debtor and creditor transactions + working knowledge of GST principles + ability to process general ledger accounting entries through to final trial balance.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM
You offer a brilliant combination of uncommon technical skills and the creative flair to interpret information and offer initiatives to streamline the accounting and reporting process. You are a numbers person yet you have the business insights to meaningfully interpret financial data, and while you can work seamlessly with minimal supervision you also relish the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team of professionals. Your outstanding skill set will prove a valuable asset as you participate in a variety of special reports and ad hoc projects.
