Due to the retirement of the Payroll Manager, an opportunity is available for a Payroll Manager to join the organization and lead a passionate and tenured payroll team.

The Role

Reporting into the Finance Manager and leading a team of 3 in payroll using Neller Preceda, your responsibilities as Payroll Manager will involve:

  • Management of the payroll team of 3 staff and monitoring work flows
  • Ensuring that payroll is in line with relevant legislation and compliant with all statutory bodies
  • Ensuring all third party payments and payroll related taxes are paid timely and in line with legislation
  • Identifying and implementing any improvements to existing processes to improve accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing
  • Calculation and processing of termination payments
  • Management of workers compensation
  • Working with the Senior Management team in training on remuneration and benefits, resource planning, use of the ESS system
  • Improving the generation and utilization of payroll reports including analysis around staff retention, benchmarking with similar organizations within the industry

Your Profile

As the successful Payroll Manager you will have prior experience managing a payroll team. You have excellent knowledge of payroll legislation related to PAYG, FBT, Superannuation, Workers Compensation, and you are well versed in Enterprise Agreements and Industry Awards. Whilst you will be reporting into finance, you will be working closely with the human resources team and your knowledge of human resources related issues will be highly regarded. Your communication, interpersonal and customer services skills are your strengths, as is your ability to lead a team and motivate your staff.
