The Company



Robert Half has partnered with a St Leonard's based business who are looking for a passionate and proactive IT Leader to join their team. You will be the Technical Lead for a Professional Services unit of the organisation reporting directly into a Managing Director. They are looking to engage you in temporary to permanent capacity with an initial 3-month contract period. This is a varied position that will see you involved in pre-sales, project management of plan implementation, post-implementation care and team management.



The Role



As the IT Technical Lead, you will oversee 5 employees and perform duties that include:



  • Pre-sales including establishing system requirements, researching and recommending on systems based on individual client's needs,

  • Developing technical documentation and testing plans,

  • Partnering with the sales teams for proposals and pricings,

  • Working with clients and third-party vendors and acting as the Project Manager on implementations,

  • Post-implementation reviews and offering L2-3 support,

  • Assisting with the development of processes,

  • Supporting the internal IT systems including ensuring the security of data, network access and backup systems,

  • System audits and implementing strategic solutions,

  • Ensuring the cost effectiveness for internal systems,

  • Recruitment and mentoring of staff and conduction of performance appraisals/management,

  • Plan and maintain staff rosters in line with business service levels,

  • Weekly and monthly reporting for management.



Your Profile




  • Experience in a client facing, leadership IT role,

  • Technical knowledge of system integration and network design,

  • Knowledge of pre-sales and post-implementation care highly preferred,

  • Strong documentation skills,

  • A natural leader, confident in your ability to mentor and engage staff,

  • Passion for implementing processes and procedures,

  • Pro-active and able to think outside of the box.
