The Company


A highly regarded Fintech are seeking a Development lead (.NET) to join their growing technology team. This role will start as a Development lead but the strategy is that the chosen applicant will move into a Development manager position after 12 months.


The organisation are based in the CBD and are a well sized technology business with more than 100 employees.


The Role


You will have the opportunity to work extensively with Microsoft technologies and FE frameworks such as React.JS.


We are looking for really strong programmers who also have the soft skills to lead a well sized group of developers; to provide technical solutions, architecture advice, and guidance.


You may do some coding in this position but given the size of the team, it is likely you'll be more involved from a development strategy/architecture perspective. Having said that, we'd like our applicants to be close enough to the code that they can be a true technical leader.


This is a really exciting position and will suit very technical developers who see themselves in leadership roles in the future. You'll get 12 months to learn the domain (Fintech), work and learn the traits of your colleagues, before taking on a Development management position.


You'll work alongside technical architects and will report into the Director of Technology.


Your Profile


Reporting to the Director of Technology, you will be a strong Development Lead working in a culture of providing simple solutions with clean, scalable and testable code.


You should have the following experience:



  • Really strong and current experience with .NET Technologies

  • Fantastic communication skills; to lead people and to become a dev manager in the future

  • Fantastic technical skills including architecture skills and problem solving ability

  • Leading from the front technical skills

  • Previous management or lead experience would be considered but is not mandtory

  • Agnostic views on technologies, happy to work on some legacy tech from time to time

  • A great attitude and willingness to wear 'different hats' within the organisation

  • Valid Australian working rights - permanent residency minimum requirement
