Our client is a reputable organisation within the Professional Services industry. With their head office here in Melbourne's CBD, they have a local, national and international presence and pride themselves on their great company culture. They have an enviable working environment in the heart of the CBD and they currently have a need for an experienced Payroll Officer who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast paced and professional environment to join their team 3 days per week.
Reporting to the General Manager, the responsibilities of the standalone part time Payroll Officer will include:
- Full function payroll processing using Micropay Meridian
- Manage new starters and terminations
- Processing superannuation and payroll tax
- Month-end and year-end payroll reporting
- Award interpretation
- Responding to payroll queries
- Contribute to process improvements
You will be a well-presented, enthusiastic and self-motivated candidate who can working independently in an autonomous role. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You must have prior experience processing full function Australian payroll and you must have proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
While not mandatory, experience using Micropay Meridian would be advantageous.
