One of Victoria's leading healthcare providers, based in the Melbourne CBD fringe, is currently looking for an experienced Medical Administrator to join one of their busy departments. This is an excellent opportunity to use your specialized experience and bring your own skills to this dynamic role!
Reporting to the Departmental Manager, you will be responsible for fielding phone calls, word processing, filing, faxing, scanning, and general ad-hoc administrative duties. Familiarity with medical terminology is required and experience with digital audiotyping is essential. Extensive software skills are required as you will need to be able to multi-task between a variety of programs, as well as Internet research abilities and strong communication skills. Familiarity with claims management and filing procedures may be required.
You will have proven experience in a high-level administrative/secretarial position within medical and other healthcare-related organizations. Your skill set will cover familiarity with medical terminology and hospital processes, and your ability to hit the ground running in busy roles in fast-paced environments is essential! A typing speed of 60+wpm is required for this role.
