Aligned with this rapid business growth, there is a need for a commercially minded Risk & Compliance professional to join the Governance, Risk & Compliance group.
The Head of Risk and Compliance is an enterprise-wide generalist leadership role which will provide second line risk support to the broader risk function to meet the organisation's regulatory and operational compliance obligations. Leading a small team, you will promote a commercial risk culture and educate the Business Units on regulatory and legislative matters to ensure the respective controls are operational and effective and maintain the obligations register. This role will also be responsible for providing oversight of a portfolio of regulatory and operational audits for the enterprise.
The Head of Risk and Compliance will also serve as the conduit between the business and different business processes applied within the organisation. Part of the Head of Risk and Compliance remit will include; business partnering with Technology Divisions around creating best practice business process reflecting regulatory environment, dashboard reporting monthly to the Risk and Compliance Committee.
There will be four key dimensions to this critical role encompassing:
- Business Partnering with Technology Divisions and Contact Centres
- Highlighting business process improvements and providing commercial insights regarding control effectiveness which allow for regulatory compliance.
- Understanding of impact of how Data Governance, Cyber and Privacy issues impact the compliance environment
- Implementation of revised processes as a result of required regulatory compliance/changes
- Streamlining policy compliance changes within the business
- Facilitation of the Compliance Audit Programme
You will be a well-rounded and hands-on Risk & Compliance professional with diverse experience gained across risk, compliance, technology risk and an understanding of the regulatory compliance and business process issues impacting a scaled Fin Tech environment.
Displaying a collaborative approach, you will combine internal audit, risk and project management experience with previous success in leading and managing, audit projects (financial, operational, compliance and management audits) or other related tasks, within budget, timeline and to exceptional quality.
You will have gained direct experience working within a highly regulated sector that is transforming and growing with significant exposure to technology and data privacy/protection issues. These may include Technology / Digital enterprises, Financial Services, Energy/Utilities, Real Estate and/or Professional Big 4 Services Firms.
You will possess gravitas and an articulate presentation style which effectively engages stakeholders across Board, Executive, Risk Committee, Business Unit GM's and Regulators. You will be well referenced and recommended by your network for your superior stakeholder engagement and articulate communication style.
