The Role:

The Legal and Compliance team provides an invaluable and wide range of services to the various business units. They preserve the company's reputation for integrity, protecting the business from sanctions with policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements around the world. The team also strives to maintain cooperative relationships
with governmental policy makers and the regulatory and self-regulatory agencies that govern the business.

As Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for:

* Work with the business to remediate incidents of non-compliance
* Liaise with external banking, accounting and government bodies (ASIC, APRA, AUSTRAC) to get regulatory approval and banking facility
* Develop internal policy and framework to support compliance
* Maintain regulatory awareness
* Monitor adherence to policies and report on compliance activities
* Ongoing client due diligence to ensure that the company met all required obligations
* Develop creative resolutions that balanced company obligations and customer service
* Review and translate regulatory requirements (such as KYC/AML/CTF) into everyday work process and conduct audits to ensure proper implementation of these requirements
* Corporate reconciliation
* Plan, conduct and test transverse processes of Internal Audit and Risk reviews

Your profile:

To be a successful applicant, you will qualify as below:

* Undergraduate degree e.g. law or accountancy degree
* Substantive knowledge and experience in relation to regulatory and compliance issues
* Legal, Compliance, Audit or Operational experience, including previous experience in FX either with a leading bank, securities house, regulator or accountancy practice
* Relevant knowledge and experience of AML/Financial Crime legislation and practice
* Excellent judgement, analytical and communications skills
* Global compliance experience is highly beneficial
