Our client is an industry-leading Construction company based in Melbourne inner suburbs that is looking for your exceptional skills and broad knowledge as an Assistant Accountant. Working within the Finance team, you will report to the Finance Manager. Your main responsibilities will include:
- General ledger reconciliations
- Inter-company reconciliations
- Month end reporting
- Accounts Receivable duties
- Accruals and Pre-Payments
- Back-up to the Accounts Payable function
- Other ad hoc duties
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in a similar Assistant Accountant role. A working knowledge with a medium to large ERP is desired. You will be able to handle multiple responsibilities and will complete all tasks with accuracy. You will be expected to interact with both internal and external customers, so strong communication and rapport building skills are essential. Coming from a construction/engineering background will be highly advantageous
