The Company

We are currently looking for talented and energetic Application Support Administrator who possess' both strong technical skills and a keen interest in Applications. This role will initially be a contract with a strong possibility of extension.

The Role

Your key responsibilities will include supporting a number of in-house applications as well as providing telephone and face to face technical support to internal users across all levels. This includes troubleshooting applications and software for all internal customers. This role is also responsible for assisting in the design, delivery, and improvement of in-house applications

This position will see you support a large range of applications, predominantly custom built. You will troubleshoot and resolve any applications issues/errors that have been escalated from the Helpdesk team. You will also be required to identify any errors and then resolve (this could be around the functionality of the software or more around any back-end errors such as errors with code or any application upgrades).This role will also see you liaise with the vendor, for example to perform any application upgrades or run new modules or scripts.

Your Experience

To succeed in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Understanding of application development processes
  • Experience in the use of an issue logging and tracking system
  • Experience troubleshooting software and applications, as well as identifying and resolving issues
  • Experience with different scripting languages
  • Working knowledge of in house customised applications
  • Ability to learn new technologies and applications quickly
  • Experience with Financial ERP's
  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to work with internal and external client at all levels
  • Strong problem solving and issue resolution skills
  • Knowledge and experience with ITIL (certification is desired)
  • High-priority incident management and communication skills
