This is a well-established not-for-profit organisation and leader in its field. The business offers disability support services to thousands of people in Victoria. This organisation has aspired to remain innovative and relevant in a rapidly changing market and has a highly capable and forward-thinking executive team with a breadth of not for profit and commercial experience.

The business is about to significantly increase its scale of services. This will involve a major business transformation with a focus on workforce transition, systems and process implementation, and service delivery. The next few years will focus on delivering a high-quality customer experience while leveraging the increased economies of scale to deliver the organisation's mission in a sustainable manner.

The Role

The Fleet Coordinator is a key member of the shared services team and reports to the Fleet and Asset Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring that all client-carrying vehicles are maintained compliant with legislative requirements, in order to protect the safety of both passengers and drivers. This charity has recently grown significantly in size and there are lots of opportunities throughout the business. In this role you will need to respond quickly to the needs of the business and working closely with your team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work with the mobilization team to ensure all vehicles are road worthy, registered accordingly and are fit-for-purpose, services compliant with the relevant legislation.
  • Prepare and monitor vehicle maintenance within budgets for client-carrying vehicles, efficiently utilizing resources.
  • Maintain the safety and security of the client-carrying transport fleet in conjunction with operation managers and house supervisors.
  • Ensure a high-quality, consistent approach to servicing and maintenance of client-carrying and pool car vehicles.
  • Ensure appropriate insurance is maintained, incidents addressed, efficient claims and proactive reduction processes are up to standard in order to keep a high-quality, consistent approach to servicing and maintenance in place.

Your experience and skills should include most, if not all of:

  • Demonstrable extensive experience in a Fleet Coordinator role.
  • Extensive & proven experience at a time of growth, and/or change and transformation.
  • Excellent: communication skills, time management, work ethic and the ability to take the initiative.
