An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and hardworking Financial Accountant to join a rapidly growing Property Development business with an excellent company culture. Our client is experiencing rapid growth with a varied portfolio spanning residential, retail and commercial property development projects throughout Victoria. Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the financial records of their portfolio by accurately recording day to day financial transactions into the accounting software. This role is integral to the smooth and efficient running of the organisations financial matters and compliance with statutory, financial and legal requirements.
The Financial Accountant will be responsible but not limited to the following:
- Assist and undertake bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- BAS and payroll tax lodgement
- Reconciling project claims and project related invoices
- Prepare project feasibility and cashflow forecasts
- Reconciling the settlement of properties
- Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements
- Preparing monthly project reporting including cash flow forecast and profit and loss reviews
- Assisting Senior Management with adhoc finance tasks
You will have excellent interpersonal skills, have an inquisitive and proactive approach to you work with a very strong work ethic. Ideally you will have fully completed CPA/CA studies and have experience within a project-based environment. A strong degree of problem-solving skills in addition to the sound judgement when decision making is required to succeed in this role.
