THE ROLE

The analyst who will join the team will be responsible for:

  • Participate in the preparation of monthly financial and management reporting for the group with an emphasis on sales, COS, Gross Margin and Inventory. Analysis of variances and related activity; ensuring timeliness, accuracy and high professional standards.
  • Perform end of month accounting. Ensure month end account, inventory and intercompany reconciliations are prepared and are presented to the FC for review on a timely basis.
  • Ensure correct banking procedures are followed in store and minimize cash variances through timely reporting and appropriate training and escalation where necessary. Completion of retail till variances.
  • Work closely with the Ecom team to ensure accuracy of monthly expense reporting and forecasts
  • Regular reporting and interaction with the Head of Retail including wage reporting ensuring all spend is within Budget limitations
    • Assisting the Finance Manager, Financial Controller and CFO with various other tasks or ad hoc projects as required.
  • Complete all financial activity relating to the property portfolio including; maintaining accurate register of all leases, ensuring correct rent is paid and accrued, calculation of make good and straight line rent provisions and management of fit out contributions.

A SUITABLE CANDIDATE?

  • 3-5 years' experience
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Must have experience building management reports
  • ERP Systems needed - SAP preferred
  • Experience in retail is compulsory
