$70000 - 90000 / annum
Eastern Suburbs Melbourne
6 June 2019
Who We Are
An instantly recognisable Australian brand, my client is a subsidiary of an equally recognisable global luxury conglomerate.
The Internal Controller will support and assist the Finance Manager in monitoring and measuring the internal control and risk environment, implementing defined internal control objectives and improving the overall level of internal control effectiveness for the business. The role will have specific responsibilities in the areas of internal control and risk assessment, internal audit, system and process improvement, policy and procedure development/measurement and exception reporting.
A full scope internal audit is planned for August 2019, and this is driving the appointment of a contractor to assist in the compilation of relevant documentation as well as the facilitation of subsequent remediation plans. Whilst the contract is for an initial 6-12 month term, there is the possibility of an extension.
Who You Are
You have at least four years experience in an internal audit/internal control role, preferably with a global business. Whilst exceptional technical skills are a given, what sets you apart is your track record of partnering with business units to evolve their key processes, policies and systems to deliver long term, sustainable improvements. The team is high performing and well respected internally, so they need an energetic, precise and polished individual who can ensure that reputation is maintained.
