Our client is fast-growing company looking for your exceptional skills as an Assistant Accountant. This brilliant role is very involved, and will bring new challenges and rewards each day as you assist with the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. In this role you will assist with preparing accounting for all securitisation deals and manage the audit of all securitisation transactions. You will also provide accounting support to other activities and perform all Finance requirements to ensure the correct inclusion of the SUN GL system.
Collecting ABS data preparation for input in the financial system
Responsible for the development of the accounting for new business
Developing and documenting daily and monthly Accounts Operations tasks to manage a new business stream
Daily and monthly reconciliation of accounts
Journals as required
Project work and ad hoc tasks
Your Skills & Experience
Ability to create and post journals
TAFE qualification in accounting / finance, or equivalent business degree
Desired financial system exposure to SUN
Minimum 5+ years experience in equivalent role
Proactive approach to the delivery / implementation of projects
Experience in Financial Services is a major plus
Proven ability to identify process deficiencies and potential improvements
