The Company

Our client is a multinational Financial Services company. The business is currently working through a number of exciting projects in new business which includes improving and developing their risk management and reporting structure, along with some changes to operational processes.

The Role

Reporting into the Head of Operational Risk and supervising a small team, this position is very broad and will invariably grow in responsibility as the business continues to grow.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with other units to develop the structure around risk and controls for multiple processes.
  • Identifying, tracking, and mitigating live risks in line with risk management policies, escalating issues to senior stakeholders.
  • Completing risk assessments to proactively identify risks within core processes.
  • Challenging the business in relation to risk and control framework, working with stakeholders to develop solutions to de-risk and streamline processes.
  • Creating and maintaining business continuity plans for the unit.
  • Tracking and reporting risk issues to closure, reporting management information to stakeholders on a regular and ad hoc basis.
  • Supervise a small team.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3years experience in a similar role within Financial Services, ideally with a wider understanding of the banking industry. Staff management experience and experience of business partnering will also be beneficial, however candidates able to demonstrate capability will be considered.

Due to the nature of the role a proactive attitude and strong organisational skills are required.
