Description :

Working within a busy finance team you will be working directly with the Finance Manager and be responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable function along with assisting in month end accounting procedures. You will have the opportunity to be mentored by an impressive manager who has an extensive technical background.

Based in the lower North Shore close to regular buses this really is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is currently working in an Accounts Receivable role and wants more Assistant Accountant exposure! The business offers a competitive salary package with additional employee bonus available, based on performance.

Your duties will entail but are not limited to: -

  • Calculate and prepare payment documentation as and when they fall due
  • Proactively manage accounts receivable and maintain effective and efficient collections activity.
  • Provide debtors with the best informed accounts' information for gaining a favourable DSO/Overdue balances.
  • Handle customer disputes and assist in implementing controls to improve invoice accuracy.
  • Engage closely with customer service & sales departments to effectively manage the collection process. Generate periodic debtors' aging report & closely monitor past due balances.
  • Provide periodic AR reports and analysis to Corporate such as monthly ANZ AR report and quarterly scorecards
  • Provide periodic evaluations (Scorecards) of AR performance to Senior management.
  • Performing daily banking, allocation of funds and reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Assist in accounts payable tasks as required.
  • Assisting in month end accounting procedures.
  • Handle and document customer complaints Knowledge of and commitment to the requirements of the Quality Management System.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Work, Health & Safety responsibilities.
