What is a Network Operations Engineer?

Also called a Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer, the Network Operations Engineer is responsible for high level network operations and support. The role is highly technical in nature but often interfaces with both IT and non-IT staff. They often design and implement network solutions, resolve customer support tickets related to network issues, and are frequently called upon to consult on IT projects.
